Apache RTR is powered by cc engine. Apache RTR has a si, 4 stroke, oil cooled, fuel injected engine and a 5 speed gear box. It is available in 4 colours. It was once known to be the most affordable motorcycle in India with a proper dual-channel ABS. However, post the new safety norms it is available only with a single-channel ABS. The updated motorcycle is priced at Rs 1.
The peak torque stands at The engine works alongside a 5-speed transmission. Brakes include a mm petal disc up front with single-channel ABS and a mm petal disc at the rear. The inch wheels are shod with section front and section rear tubeless tyres.
The sporty-looking headlight cowl is complemented by muscular tank extensions that are designed to reduce the engine heat to a certain extent. The rear end is dominated by an LED tail lamp and sporty-looking split grab rails. The indicators are of bulb-type though. TVS has equipped the motorcycle with an analogue-digital combo cluster, which houses a tachometer, dual tripmeters, odometer, speedometer, fuel gauge, clock, low battery and low fuel lights, and maintenance indicator apart from other telltale lights.
It also gets a kmph acceleration timer, which will be appreciated by enthusiasts. Another notable feature is the Glide Through Traffic function, which ensures the bike can crawl at low speeds simply by clutch modulation and no throttle.
This feature will be handy while crawling through traffic-riddled roads. Peppy motor, Powerful brakes, Glide Through Traffic feature a boon on congested roads. With these, it has the potential to remain a fan favourite for a little longer, at least as long as the cc segment remains sparsely populated. Mine is an ABS variant. The RTR needs a lot of development in terms of comfort, stability and braking. The seat offers very unpleasant feeling during driving through rough surface.
At above 70 kmph of speed, the bike shivers. The stability is tremendously disrupted during conering.
Lastly, the most important part of driving : braking. It feels like requiring a lot of effort in bringing about control over the bike in emergency. The ABS needs to be replaced with a next gen one. The existing variant is not so accomplished. I have been regularly commuting since January and I have faced problems with ABS times altogether. May a times, even while driving, it stops working and resumes after some time or engine restart.
With so many complaints said, speed is the only factor on the positive side which has fastened me for such a long time. So, the company needs to give attention on the above matters in order to keep pace on the race. Apache Rtr is definitely a good commuter bike. It is basicaly designed for city riding.New Customer?

New 2018 TVS Apache RTR 180 Likely to Launch at Auto Expo 2018
It was the first ever bike to surpass the notion of selling only cc bikes, by giving the customers an upper advantage of extra 10cc in its engine and a little more equipment. The bike was launched in parallel with the nemeses and also received the major overhaul inand it made the Apache look sportier with possessed aggressive outlook.
The rest remains unchanged. TVS adopted an all new design philosophy for their Apache brand back in The motorcycle looked far more aggressive and outrageous than the previous versions of the Apache, and it still continues to carry the panache even today.
The takes up the same suit as the RTR with the only subtle difference being the paint schemes and body decals. This setup produces an intense, raw and animalistic gaze for which the Apache is famous for.
Tucked behind this is a neatly sculpted instrument cluster that has a digital display as well as an analogue tachometer. The blue-lit LED display has clear indications and includes all info one needs including the acceleration time.
And the best bit is the race inspired carbon fibre cues imprinted around the display unit. Onto the sides, this Apache gets an aerodynamically designed tank cowls that are also the reason for reducing the engine heat by 10 degrees. These scoops enable the free flow of air and at the same time gives the bike a macho silhouette, especially if viewed from the front three-quarters.
The bike gets a muscular looking engine cowl as well which is sleek and functional. The chiselled tail is slick and aggressive with its tail cowl carrying the tri-coloured race insignia of the brand just below the split rear grab bar.
Full LED treatment is given to a neat tail lamp. White strip lines on the black alloys give it a sporty edge, and the gold finished suspension unit adds a touch of zing to the overall outlook of the bike. The switchgear feels premium and the overall levels of fit and finish is impressive. But somehow, the bike now feels a tad too dated in front of the current crop of more contemporary and muscular cc motorcycles, which make us think that TVS should rework on the design to catch up with the pace of the competition.
This four stroke, single cylinder, air cooled, The carburetted version gushes out 15 bhp of power at rpm and 13 Nm of torque at rpm. The over-square race inspired engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
As for the engine, TVS has managed to fulfil the expectations of the fans of Apache, by making it a scorcher of a mill. The figures may not be as enthusiastic as that of its competitors, but on the tarmac, the engine manages to surprise you with its immense power delivery down the rev range and in the higher rev range as well.
The engine is more rev-hungry resulting in a meatier top end grunt. And as always, these engines are reliable and are worthy of some appreciation.Select city. Good Things. Could be Better.

The Apache RTR will even share bits like fuel tank and exhaust end-can. While most the specifications sheet is likely to see many changes, the engine will be carried over from the current RTR That said, the cc, single-cylinder engine will see some tweaks for additional performance and higher fuel mileage.
The motor comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The biggest change in the specifications table will be the introduction of rear monoshock suspension. The new model Apache will have added features and a fresh new styling. Also, the engine is likely to see some updates as well.

The biggest change in the specifications will come from the updated suspension. Currently, only the Apache RTR is available with a monoshock. With the advent of the models of RTR and RTRhowever, all the three models will have a monoshock arrangement.
Brakes are expected to continue unchanged. Currently, the Apache comes with a mm front petal-disc and a mm rear petal-disc setup. ABS will be available, at least as an option. While the new bike will get the same engine as the current model, the motor will see some re-tuning for slightly higher fuel mileage. In crowded city riding, it offers around 30 KMPL. It may be noted here that bikes in the Apache series have always had rev-happy engines. Thanks to such eager motors, one tends to keep the engine on the boil to extract maximum performance.
In such conditions, fuel mileage takes a hit. Yet, all the bikes in this series offer respectable fuel efficiency for the power they have on offer. While the new bike will look fresh and modern, it will take many design cues from the RTR 4V. The new bike will share several body panels with the bigger model. The most prominent of these will include a fuel tank and the exhaust end-can. If the spy images of the new Apache are anything to go by, even the updated will have a bolder, more muscular attire.
The new bike will get a fully-digital speedo console, which will, again, come from the RTR 4V.
